Cancer Support Group
This group is open to cancer survivors and their significant others, and is offered in cooperation with the Cancer Caring Center. The group meets on the second Thursday of each month from 7 – 9 p.m. at the Hospital and is facilitated by an oncology nurse and a social worker. Breast Cancer Support Group
Open to individuals diagnosed with breast cancer, in cooperation with the Cancer Caring Center, this group meets on the third Tuesday of every month from 7 – 9 p.m. at the Hospital. Colon Cancer Support Group
This group is open to individuals diagnosed with colon cancer, and is offered in cooperation with the Cancer Caring Center. The group meets the second Monday of every month from 7 – 9 p.m. at the Hospital. This support group is facilitated by oncology nurses. Look Good…Feel Better®
This is a free, non-medical, product-neutral program offered in partnership with the American Cancer Society, the National Cosmetology Association, and the Cosmetic, Toiletry, and Fragrance Association (CTFA) Foundation, a charitable organization supported by the cosmetic industry to enhance self-esteem and address the cosmetic side of treatment. Wig Salon
The American Cancer Society® provides the Hospital with free wigs for patients with cancer who are experiencing hair loss as a result of cancer treatment. Fittings are provided by trained volunteers in a private setting within the Hosital. Appointments may be made by calling the American Cancer Society® at 1.800.227.2345.
Moving Forward Workshop
This program is an eight-week workshop held during the year in collaboration with Our Clubhouse™ for persons who have recently undergone treatment for cancer. Each weekly offering provides information on different aspects of health, including exercise, nutrition, meditation, and emotional well-being. Lymphedema Treatment Service
A certified lymphedema therapist provides treatment for chronic lymphedema by utilizing manual lymph drainage, compression therapy, exercises and skin care. Please contact Occupational Therapy at 412.942.7122.
