St. Clair Health has recently introduced new incentives for existing positions and further employment opportunities so you can choose the best option for your lifestyle.

Float Nursing Pool*

St. Clair Health will offer new incentives such as increased differential pay of $5 per hour to nurses who participate in the float pool. Float pool nurses will continue to enjoy schedule flexibility, while working across all units during all shifts.

Weekend Nursing Pool*

St. Clair Health will also offer new incentives such as increased differential pay of $5 per hour to nurses who participate in the weekend pool. Weekend pool nurses will continue to enjoy schedule flexibility, while helping to meet staffing needs on select units during weekend shifts.

Standby Nursing Positions**

St. Clair Health will continue to offer standby nursing positions with modified hourly requirements and retirement benefits. Standby nurses will continue to enjoy schedule flexibility with the requirement to work at least 24 hours per month.

Standby nurses will receive up to 40 hours of sick time per the Allegheny County paid sick leave ordinance and benefits in accordance with the St. Clair Health cash balance pension plan in lieu of the current standby hourly differential.

Internal Nursing Agency**

St. Clair Health also offers an internal agency to attract and employ nurses with at least two years of experience. Nurses in the St. Clair agency will be paid a flat rate of $60 per hour for either a 13- or 26-week assignment with regular rotations, including floating requirements as clinical competency allows, to ensure we can meet staffing needs across all units during all shifts.
