The Center for Orthopedics at St. Clair Hospital includes a nursing unit specially designed to serve patients with joint replacements, spinal surgeries, fractures, and other orthopedic complications. Patients can expect to receive physical and occupational therapy twice a day by specially trained therapists under the guidance of orthopedic surgeons and neurosurgeons. After an elective joint replacement, patients begin working with a physical therapist within a few hours of surgery. Our multidisciplinary approach ensures each patient receives an individualized plan of care with the goal of maximizing independence as quickly and safely as possible.
Occupational Therapists facilitate independence with self care and home safety.
