Outpatient Rehabilitation Services

PHYSICAL THERAPY

Our specially-trained physical therapists can assist in your rehabilitation from:

  •     Joint pain—back, neck, knees, hips, shoulders, foot/ankle
  •     Post-operative recovery, including total joint replacement, spine surgery,
        rotator cuff surgery
  •     Musculoskeletal dysfunction
  •     Orthopedic injuries
  •     Neurological rehabilitation
  •     Stroke rehabilitation
  •     Vestibular dysfunction
  •     Difficulty with balance/falls
  •     Urinary incontinence
  •     Work or auto injuries

Services include:

  •     Gait training
  •     Balance training
  •     Vestibular rehabilitation
  •     Ultrasound
  •     Electric simulation
  •     Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization
  •     Manual Therapy
  •     Massage
  •     Joint mobilization
  •     Iontophoresis (medication administered via electric current)
  •     Exercise
  •     Traction
     

Physical Therapy Hours (by appointment)
Monday – Thursday: 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. (last appointment)
Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. (last appointment)
Saturday: 8 a.m. to 12 Noon

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY/HAND THERAPY

Our Occupational Therapists, including a Certified Hand Therapist and a
Certified Lymphedema Therapist, can assist in your rehabilitation from:

  •     Post-surgical recovery from elbow, wrist, and
        hand procedures
  •     Custom-fabrication of orthosis/splint for elbow,
        wrist, hand, fingers, or thumb
  •     Orthopedic injuries / dysfunction, including elbow, wrist, and hand
  •     Neurological rehabilitation
  •     Stroke rehabilitation
  •     Difficulty with fine motor skills
  •     Work or auto injuries
  •     Lymphedema

Services Include:

  •     Achieving independence in performing activities of daily living such as eating,
        dressing, bathing and toileting
  •     Upper extremity and hand rehabilitation
  •     Education and training on adaptive equipment
  •     Cognitive and perceptual training
  •     Custom and prefabricated splints
  •     Saebo splint training
  •     Ergonomic evaluations and education
  •     Community education for pulmonary, cardiac and arthritis groups
  •     Pre-drivers perceptual and cognitive testing
  •     Manual Lymph Drainage Massage
  •     Custom Garment Measurements for Lymphedema
  •     Lymphedema Treatment Wrapping and Education
  •     Post-Offer Employment Physical Assessments

Occupational Therapy Hours (by appointment)
Monday – Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (hours may vary by patient volume)
Walk-In custom fabricated splints Monday, Wednesday, Friday (no appointment necessary)

SPEECH THERAPY

Our specially/trained speech and language pathologists can assist in your rehabilitation for:

  •     Dysphagia – difficulty with swallowing
  •     Risk for choking due to difficulty eating/drinking
  •     Stroke rehabilitation
  •     Difficulty with speech, including finding words for speech and/or verbalizing
  •     Post-operative neck and throat surgery
  •     Head and Neck Cancer Speech/Swallowing Treatments
  •     Vital Stim Therapy for difficulty swallowing

Services Include:

  •     Evaluations for level of function
  •     Improvement of oral motor control
  •     Improvement of speech quality and production
  •     Improvement of cognition
  •     Improvement in swallowing ability
  •     Improvement of communication effectiveness and voice production
  •     Modified Barium Swallow evaluations

Tuesday and Thursday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

WOMEN’S HEALTH PHYSICAL THERAPY

Our specially-trained women’s health physical therapist can assist in your rehabilitation from:

  •     Stress Incontinence – this may be leakage with coughing and sneezing.
  •     Urge Incontinence – complaints of involuntary loss of urine accompanied by
        a strong desire to void. Frequent trips to the bathroom are
        common.
  •     Mixed – combination of Stress and Urge Incontinence.
  •     Pelvic Pain – this may include many different types of pain in the pelvic region
        that prevent you from living a normal life.

LYMPHEDEMA TREATMENT

Individuals suffering with primary or secondary lymphedema may benefit from the following treatment components:

  •     Manual lymph drainage
  •     Compression bandaging
  •     Proper skin care
  •     Remedil exercises
  •     Compression garments (sleeves and stockings)
  •     Self-care education
