Q: What sparked your interest to focus in Obstetrics/Gynecology?
A: From the time that I was a child, I had an interest in science and the human body. I love that there is always more to learn in healthcare, even after years of practice. I especially enjoy sharing acquired knowledge with patients and they are often able to teach me as well.
I want my patients to feel that we are partners when discussing their healthcare and health-related choices. Women’s health is my passion, as it provides the opportunity to build lasting relationships with amazing women, all of whom have unique stories and backgrounds. I always hoped for a career that would allow me to help others, as there is nothing more rewarding than an appreciative patient or family member. I look forward to the privilege of being a part of your healthcare journey and contributing to your health and happiness.
Q: What are your hobbies outside of work?
A: When I am not in the office, I prioritize being a mom and I spend as much quality time as possible with my daughters and husband. We attend many basketball games, as my daughters play on different teams.
We enjoy traveling to new locations and experiencing new adventures. I find it especially relaxing when I am outdoors and immersed in nature. Hiking and exploring the state and national parks is one of my favorite activities. I enjoy running and find that regular physical activity is beneficial for my mental and physical health.
Some of my goals include: reading more books for pleasure and increasing “me” time, as most moms need more of this!
Q: Do you have a pet(s)?
A: We have a sweet and energetic dog named Sophie. She will play fetch or tug of war endlessly if anyone is willing but she also loves cuddle time.
