St. Clair Health Earns Digital Health “Most Wired” Recognition for 11th Consecutive Year

PITTSBURGH, PA (November 9, 2022) – St. Clair Health was once again recognized as Certified Level 9 in the annual Digital Health Most Wired Survey from the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME). This is the eleventh consecutive year that St. Clair Health has been named a Digital Health Most Wired hospital by CHIME.

Hospitals participating in the Most Wired program are certified as Levels 1-10, with the healthcare information technology (IT) leaders that have displayed the highest and most innovative uses of technology at their respective organizations being awarded a Level 9 or 10. Among the more than 38,000 organizations surveyed by CHIME, St. Clair Health was one of only 91 organizations to have been awarded a Level 9 or 10 rating in the Acute category in 2022.

“This year’s survey results indicate St. Clair Health is a leader in areas such as analytics and data management, population health, infrastructure, and patient engagement,” said Jim Kohler, Vice President and Chief Information Officer at St. Clair Health. “Employing advanced IT not only supports our culture of continuous improvement, but more importantly, enables us to continue to improve the delivery of health care in the communities we serve.”

As success in digital health increasingly determines the quality of patient care, the scope of the CHIME Digital Health Most Wired survey will reflect the progress of leading healthcare providers as they reinvent healthcare for a new century. The survey results are intended to drive change in the healthcare IT industry, as well as elevate the health and care of communities around the world by encouraging the optimal use of IT.

“CHIME is proud to once again honor St. Clair Health’s exceptional dedication to excellence in digital health. The hospital’s pioneering performance in the industry inspires other organizations by example,” said CHIME President and CEO Russell P. Branzell.  “Patients in communities around the world receive better care when hospitals and health systems drive change through digital transformation, as St. Clair Health has proven through its success in this rigorous program.”

This is one of many accolades St. Clair has received in recent years that continues a tradition of excellence that is unsurpassed in Western Pennsylvania. Other achievements include:
